KOREA EXTENDS LEAD AFTER ROUND 2 OF THE NOMURA CUP

Korea extends their lead after Round 2 of the Asia Pacific Golf Team Championship 2009 for the Nomura Cup. The team scored 3-under today for a 7-under 425 tournament total.
6 strokes behind is Taiwan who scored 1-under today for 1-under 431 tournament total. Tied at third place are Japan and China who scored 3-over 219 and 11-over 227 today for 16-over 448 respectively.
Malaysia improved their standing today to 6th place with score of 2-over 218 today for 20-over 452 tournament total.
In the individual race, Korean M.H. Kim still leads the field who carded 3-under 69 today for 5-under 139 tournament total. Malaysian best finisher after Round 2 is Gavin Kyle Green who finished tied 6th with 2 other players; Pawin Ingkhapradit from Thailand and Wei Wei from China.
This biennial event is conducted by the APGC and the APGC members' countries take turn to host this event. This year, the Korea Golf Association will host the event at Namseoul Country Club from September 15-18, 2009.
Malaysia is represented by Nicholas Fung, Gavin Kyle Green, Mohamad Iszaimi Ismail and Abel Tam. They are accompanied by Tuan Haji Mohd Yaacob as the Team Manager.
