AYER KEROH COUNTRY CLUB SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED THE JUNIOR CLINIC ON JUNE 16

The MGA State Junior Clinic was successfully hosted by Ayer Keroh Country Club on June 16 in conjunction with the SUKMA Melaka 2010

In conjunction with the SUKMA Melaka 2010, Ayer Keroh Country Club successfully hosted the MGA State Junior Clinic on June 16.

The clinic was conducted for beginners from nearby schools. 34 juniors comprised of 24 boys and 10 juniors below the age of 16 attended the clinic headed by MGA's Resident Pros, V. Gunalen and Faridil Atras. They were assisted by local Pros, Ali Ariffin and Sani Dol.

The MGA State Junior Clinic is part of MGA's development program to introduce golf to the masses. So far, 7 clinics have been conducted throughout Malaysia for 2010 which was attended by 491 juniors.

The juniors were taught fundamental golf swing, short game skills as well as rules of golf and course etiquettte. A skill game was held at every clinic for beginner's session while a 9-hole game was conducted for the intermediate session.

From Ayer Keroh clinic, the following were the winners of the skill game:

4. Muhammad Fitri Mohd Saari
5. Nateeshva Anathaganesh
6. Iqbal Hakim Samsudin

The winners were given a tube of MGA logoed golf balls.

Major Jimmy Ng, MGA State Junior Clinic Coordinator was present at the clinic and thanked En Mohd Rom Muslim, Captain of Ayer Keroh Country Club for hosting the clinic and assistance given to MGA which contributed to the success of the clinic. Major Jimmy Ng also thanked the school teachers for providing the juniors and hope that they will continue to assist MGA in our future events.
