The Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) is pleased to announce that the National Handicapping System/USGA Handicap & Slope Rating Sub-Committee has set up 'NHS Golf Clubs' in accordance to the USGA Handicap System Manual to provide handicaps to non-members at a fee of RM120.00 per annum and junior members registered in MGA free of charge.

After a highly successful season, the MGA State Junior Clinic has evolved to be hugely successful among the juniors; beginners and intermediate alike across the country. The latest junior clinic hosted by Kedah at Darulaman Golf & Country Club saw a staggering 114 juniors participating while 81 juniors attended at the clinic hosted at Kelab Golf Putra, Perlis.

Mohamad Hisyam Abdul Majid, MGA's overseas based player staved off strong challenges from team mate Gavin Kyle Green to win the overall title of the Selangor Amateur Open with even par 72 today for a 1-over par 217 tournament total. With this win, he automatically qualifies to compete in the star-studded Maybank Malaysian Open to be held at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club from March 4-7, 2010.
